This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by AIP. Arjun Infrastructure Partners Limited is the primary data controller - Registered in England No 09431213.

In this Policy the term “Data Protection Legislation” means the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679; together with all other applicable legislation relating to privacy or data protection.

This website is operated by AIP. AIP is referred to in this Privacy Notice as “us” or “we” and you can contact us using the contact details found on our website. In this policy we describe the types of personal data which we collect and the uses which we make of it.

We are committed to protecting our clients’ privacy and complying with the Data Protection Legislation.

What is Personal Data?

Personal Data includes all information held in electronic form or manually in a structured filing system relating to a living individual who can be identified from that data (or from that data and other information in our possession) and includes personal contact information and images.

What Personal Data do we hold?

We hold Personal Data which you provide to us – for example, by contacting us via the contact details on our website.

In connection with our business relationships with institutional investors and professional advisers, you may provide us with personal information in connection with business and investment opportunities, as well as information and reporting if your firm becomes a client of AIP.

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  1. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence

  2. Information that you may provide to us in relation to any business matters

  3. Information that you may provide to us in relation to business operations with us including name, address, email address etc.


There are also cases where personal data comes from other sources - for example in relation to details of professional experience, which, for instance, we collect from publicly accessible online profiles.
 

If you apply for a role with us you may provide us with personal information including your CV, contact details and other details set out in your application. We may also collect information from publicly accessible online profiles and social media platforms.

Purpose and Legal Grounds

Your contact information may be used for the purpose of allowing us to respond to you about an enquiry you have made, and/or to further a business relationship. The legal basis for processing your contact information for these purposes is AIP’s legitimate interest in providing you important services and/or products.
 

AIP may also have to comply with other legal requirements or obligations, law enforcement, and or public safety purposes.
 

Disclosure of Personal Data

We disclose information about a data subject if legally obliged to do so or to comply with contractual duties.

We may disclose your Personal Data for the purposes as described in the prior section of this Privacy Policy in the following ways:

  1. To affiliates and partners
    With companies or ventures that are owned or controlled by AIP, and internally within AIP, in order to provide and improve services and/or products.

  2. To contracted advisors
    With advisors who are contracted with AIP to provide the services and/or products, for example during a due diligence phase on a target transaction. This includes financial advisors.

  3. For Legal Compliance, Law Enforcement and Public Safety Purposes.
    With law enforcement, government or regulatory bodies, lawful authorities, or other authorised third parties in order to comply with laws, regulations, court orders, or other legal obligations or to assist in an investigation, to protect and defend our rights and property, or the rights or safety of third parties, to enforce an agreement with you, this Privacy Policy, or agreements with third parties, or for crime-prevention purposes.

  4. For internal Know Your Customer procedures.
    The Know Your Customer procedures are defined by the Compliance manual of AIP, which has been developed to meet the guidelines and regulations specified by the Financial Conduct Authority.

 

Retention of Personal Data

Data will be retained as long as required:

  • for the purposes set out in paragraph above, and/or

  • as required by the General Data Protection Regulation or other applicable law or regulation.
     

Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 16. If you become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Data then please contact us. If we become aware that a child has provided us Personal Data then we will take steps to delete it and cancel any services being provided.

UK Stewardship Code Disclosure Statement

 

Arjun Infrastructure Partners Limited (“Arjun”) is required to make a public disclosure in relation to the nature of its commitment to the UK’s Financial Reporting Council’s Stewardship Code (the “Code”), in accordance with the requirements set out in COBS 2.2.3R and COBS 2.2A.5R of the Financial Conduct Authority Handbook.

 

Arjun offers investment management services to institutional investors and principally invests in privately held equity and debt in respect of infrastructure assets on behalf of its investors. While Arjun respects the general objectives of the Code, large parts of the Code are not relevant to the type of investment activities currently undertaken by Arjun. Therefore, Arjun has decided not to become a signatory to the Code. If Arjun’s investment strategy changes, such that the Code becomes more relevant to its business, Arjun will reconsider this decision.
